Back in Action
After a long break from keeping up the blog, and issues with my hosting company I have decided to bring back the blogspot version. I now have three beautiful sons (yes three! I have 8 month old twin boys who are opposite as you can get.) to scrapbook. I am also preparing for a scrapbook party event that I will be hosting. Recently I have been introduced to Kiwi Lane. I've seen it before but never got to play with it. While working with crafting machines is great for making paper piercings, I never really got into using it for borders and such. Mostly because the machines that fit 12X12 papers were either too expensive or too big to travel / move around with and never got used. I expect that Kiwi Lane will help to make my borders more interesting. My goal for the scrapbook party is to make about 45 kits (for 30 people) with borders and embellishments pre-cut with my scrapbook stash. These will be packaged in 2 Gallon bags (Dollar Tree has them 5 for $1) and stickers will be set out for titles.The cutting inspiration will be from Kiwi Lane layouts off Pinterest and Scrapbook Steals Mid Week Mojo layouts.

Weekly Web Scrapping
Welcome to the first Weekly Web Scrapping post. I hope you are as excited as I am. I am trying this out on a Saturday so that the image is available for New Year's, but do not know if this will be the final day of the week for these posts. For the first Web Scrapping Post, I have made a background image. This is called "Bubbles" and has six colored dots on a yellow background. I thought this would be a fun background for a New Year's album page.

Here is the minimum code needed to make this background work. This just puts the background on your page, no headings or images. **

Future of Fun Time Scrapping
I hope you have enjoyed Fun Time Scrapping.com thus far. With the current year coming to an end and the new year coming quickly, I have decided I want to take a new approach with this blog. Here are a few of the upcoming changes you can look forward to:
- A New Domain Name: funtimescrapping.blogspot.com will soon be easier to remember as www.funtimescrapping.com.
- Once a (hopefully) Weekly Web Scrapping: With the new domain name, I hope to be able to provide with web scrapping utilities for download also. This way you can make online albums with your photos by downloading background images or online "die cuts". The first example is below, called stripes.
- Stripes: Stripes is a background that you can add to your online album page as a background image. You would place this image into your album page folder and enter the body code below. This will give you a red and green striped background. The code to do this is:

Matching Station
This is a matching station that I made today. The inside of the box has different circuits that when the child matches the correct upper and lower case letter, the circuit completes and the LED lights up. The cards can be customized according to needs, such as upper and lower case letters, states vs. capitols, or a number digit vs. a card with drawings of that many of an item. Paper Beads
I found an instructable on paper beads and tried it on my own. I have to say, I just can't stop now there so cute, so I decided to post them for all to see. If you like the beads but don't have the time to do this on your own, the person who made the instructable said he sells them for women in Uganda.

Exporting Cricut Craft Room to Gypsy
Today I spent an hour trying to find information about how to connect the Cricut Craft Room to my Gypsy. I didn't have a lot of luck finding the information in one place, so I needed to use a combination of websites, you tube videos, and forums to figure it out. I left some starred information which can be found at the bottom of the post.
In order to get your Cricut Craft Room (CCR) projects to your Gypsy you would need to do the following (I use a MAC don't know if PC is different):
First things first, find the USB plug for the Gypsy. If you do not have the one that came with this, it is a micros USB which is the same as some cameras, phones, or in my case, PS3 controllers.
Then on the computer you need the following software:
Cricut Sync
Cricut Craft Room (the non-web version)
To send a file from the MAC to the Gypsy:
You would then export your file from the CCR. To do this go to
Open > Click on the Project Name > Export > Choose Gypsy > then Begin * > It will download the file and ask you to save, choose Save > Browse to where to save the project > Name the project**> click Save
Then plug in your Gypsy and open Cricut Sync, and choose whether to update now or not. >
When Digital Content Rights have been updated comes up choose Ok. This then opens to Gypsy Projects. Choose Add Projects > Browse and Select the projects to add*** > Once this is done you will see the file name on the list of Gypsy projects and can disconnect your project if you are done designing.

Crciut Craft Room
So, I was browsing project ideas for my new Cricut Imagine and found a link to the Cricut Craft Room. This is a great extension to the Cricut Gypsy I already have and I can't wait to start playing with it. It is free to join and works with all the Cricuts. You can now design on your computer and cut to your Cricut. You have to authorize the PC to cut and can authorize up to two PCs. Black Friday
I was lucky enough, after going to three Walmarts, to get the new Cricut Imagine Bundle for $187. I am so excited about this and being able to both print and cut at the same time. The project ideas on the box are amazing. Was anyone else lucky enough to get this great deal?
And if that wasn't enough, I woke up at 9AM and went to Michaels to use my 30% off coupon. I can't wait for my Christmas present from hubby.........my own crafting space.

Cards Cards Cards
This has been a busy week for me. Princess card invitations, a wedding card I am still working on, a birthday card for my niece I haven't started yet, and a birthday card for my brother, which is today's featured card. Princess Invitations
I just got the Cricut Once Upon A Princess cartridge. It couldn't come at a better time since my niece decided she wants a princess party for her fifth birthday. So, I got to designing a card for her. I used the gypsy to make this card. Using the Princess Party Invitation found on the cartridge, I choose one and set it to a height of 5 inches. I made sure the Princess Party lined up with a line on the page. Then I choose a second one and again set it to 5 inches, but this one I rotated 180 degrees, so it was opposite the first. I lined both up so the side edges were on top of each other and the top edge lined up with the same line as the Princess Party. This spaced the Princess Party and the crowns about 1 inch apart. I then went in and removed everything but the crowns on the second one, so the only thing left was the crown inside the first card design. I took the card to my printer and printed the party information onto the card. (I will see if I can get this uploaded as a template) Lastly, I folded the card in half so the crowns all lined up and tied a ribbon in a bow to close it up. I had to do this since I have a 6X12 inch Cricut causing me to be unable to print the envelopes.

I made an instructable!

Breast Cancer Ribbons
Today I made Breast Cancer Awareness ribbons for my cousin. She will be walking in the Avon Walk later in the year and as a fundraiser I have made these ribbons for my aunt to sale at her store. We hope to help my cousin get closer to her goal. So far I have spent 1 hour time and got 61 keepers and had 4 thrown out.
I used the ribbons from the Cricut Stand and Salute cartridge. The paper used was 8 1/2" X 11" So I cut it in half to 4 1/4" X 11 inch strips and used my Gypsy to line the ribbons up to fit on this uncommon size. The machine settings were all set to 3.
1. The sheets were split in half
2. I used two mats to speed the process up.
3. I slipped off the backing and removed the ribbons.
4. This is the garbage pile made so far and sample ribbons that I made so far.

Vocalpoint - Downy Unstopables
Recently I became a Vocalpoint member. Today, for the first time I received my free full size sample of Downy Unstopables. Although I haven't had a chance to use it in my laundry (I just dropped it off before the mail came), it does have a squeeze and smell bottle and my DH and I agree it smells nice. We will be asking our laundry mat lady to use it next time to see how the clothes come out. So you have an idea, below are pictures of what came in the box.
